Short version: your plan lives in your browser. There is no GSD account and no GSD server that stores your projects, tasks, journal or health data.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter (projects, tasks, Top 3, journal, health entries, settings, and any keys or sign-ins you add) is saved in your browser's storage on your device. Backup files you save go wherever you put them. Clearing your browser data erases it; a backup file brings it back.
Connections you choose
If you connect an AI, email, calendar or another app, your browser talks directly to that service. GSD does not pass your data through its own servers. That service's own privacy policy applies.
- Gmail / Google Calendar: read your recent inbox, send replies you approve, and read your calendar. Mail is only read when you ask. Nothing is stored anywhere except your browser.
- Outlook: the same, through Microsoft.
- AI providers (OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or an AI on your own computer): only what you ask the AI to work on is sent, and only when you ask.
- MCP servers: tools you connect, used only for what you ask.
Calendar links: when you paste your calendar's private link, GSD reads it to plan around your meetings. Google and Microsoft don't let web pages read those links directly, so the request passes through GSD's relay, which hands the calendar straight to your browser. The relay saves nothing and keeps no log of your calendar or its link.
Email → task: the “Send to GSD” button and pasted emails stay in your browser. GSD never reads your mailbox.
GSD's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The only things that leave your device for GSD
- World leaderboard (only if you join): your nickname, email (kept private, never shown), how many tasks you finished and how fast, and game scores. Never task names. If you opt in, occasional productivity tips by email. You can leave at any time from the leaderboard.
- Feedback (only if you send it): your message, anonymous unless you choose to sign it.
- Donations: handled by Stripe. GSD never sees your card number.
What GSD never does
- No ads, no tracking, no selling or sharing of your data.
- No reading of your email or calendar unless you connect it, and no AI use unless you ask.
Deleting your data
Settings › Backups › Erase everything removes all GSD data from your browser. Removing a connection in Settings › Connections forgets its sign-in. To remove your leaderboard entry, press Leave on the leaderboard.
