GSD Navigator (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use our productivity application and related services (the “Service”).
The short version: Your productivity data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to back it up. We collect minimal data necessary to operate the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website or use certain online features, we may collect:

We do not collect the contents of your tasks, journal entries, schedules, or any personal notes stored locally.
1.3 Information from Third-Party Services
If you choose to connect third-party services:
- Cloud Backup (e.g., Google Drive): We request only the permissions necessary to save and retrieve your backup files. We do not access other files in your cloud storage.
- AI Coach: Conversational inputs are sent to our third-party AI provider for real-time processing. See Section 4 for details.
- Payment Provider: Payment information is handled entirely by the app store or payment processor. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process subscriptions and transactions
- Send service-related communications (if you opted in)
- Analyze aggregated usage to improve features and performance
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information to:
- Sell or rent your personal data to third parties

- Make automated decisions that affect you without your knowledge
3. Data Storage & Security
3.1 Local-First Architecture
GSD Navigator is designed with a local-first approach. Your productivity data (tasks, schedules, journal entries, personal notes, and preferences) is stored on your device using browser local storage. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly initiate a backup or use features that require network access.
3.2 Cloud Backups
When you use optional cloud backup:
- Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Data is stored in your personal cloud account, not on our servers
- You can delete backups at any time through your cloud storage provider
3.3 Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Minimal data collection practices
- Regular security reviews
- No server-side storage of personal productivity data
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. AI Coach & Third-Party Processing
4.1 How the AI Coach Works
The AI Coach feature uses a third-party AI service to process your conversational inputs in real time. When you interact with the AI Coach:
- Your messages are sent to the AI provider for processing
- The AI provider generates and returns a response
- Conversations are processed in real time and are not permanently stored by GSD Navigator
- The AI provider may process data in accordance with their own privacy policy
4.2 What We Do Not Do
- We do not use your AI conversations to train models
- We do not share AI conversation data with other users
- We do not retain transcripts of your AI interactions

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services. These include:

6. Cookies & Tracking
GSD Navigator uses minimal cookies and tracking:
- Essential cookies: Used for core functionality (e.g., maintaining session state). Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics: We may use anonymized, aggregated analytics to understand feature usage. No personal data is included.
- No advertising cookies: We do not use advertising trackers or retargeting pixels.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you

- Local data: Retained on your device until you clear it. We have no access to this data.
- Email subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized; retained for up to 24 months.
- Support communications: Retained for up to 36 months.
10. International Data Transfers
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
